Reclaimed mixed-species lumber presents natural variation in grain, porosity, and base tone. When flooring and cabinetry are built from different wood sources, even a standard stain can read differently on each surface — making the interior feel patchwork rather than planned.

Rather than fighting the wood's natural differences, we developed a custom stain formula that balanced the variation — bringing all surfaces into a shared tone family while preserving the natural grain character. The result feels warm, intentional, and cohesive.
